Give Thanks for Lower Power Bills

According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, the average cost of this year’s Thanksgiving feast is $48.91. That’s not a bad deal when you consider the memories that are made around a holiday table. Yet, what isn’t a good deal is the electricity needed to cook the meal, light the dining room and heat the house. The U.S. Energy Information Administration states that the average monthly electricity bill in Arizona is $128.40. That places Arizona sixth in the nation in terms of cost – substantially higher than the national average of $111.67.

Imagine if you could be energy independent and cook the turkey using energy that you produce from your home solar panels. It’s possible with a home solar panel system. The cost of electricity is high and continues to rise. And we now have the technology available to harness the power of the sun and generate energy for use in heating and cooling, powering lights and appliances, and yes, even baking that pumpkin pie.

But, there’s more to give thanks for when it comes to solar energy. It also increases the value of your home. Research indicates that your home value increases for every kilowatt of energy installed. So, a 5 kilowatt (kW) solar system offers 5,000 watts of power. Each watt of solar adds about $3.00 to a home’s value. Thus, the addition of an average system can increase the value of your home by up to $15,000.

But, if you’re not planning on selling your home, you’ll also gain the advantage of reducing your carbon footprint and having a reliable source of energy – along with those lower utility bills. And becoming energy independent is easier than you think. With a variety of programs and financing options, you can turn your desire for no utility bills into a reality.

At Cool Blew Solar, we wish you and your loved ones a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
